60-DAY TRIAL OF DOLPHIN® IMAGING SOFTWARE
WITH IMAGING SCIENCES i-CAT®
Imaging Sciences International and Dolphin Imaging are
offering a unique, limited-time opportunity for customers
to experience two market-leading 3-D imaging technologies
to take patient diagnosis and care to a powerful new level.
Hatfield, PA—August 16, 2007—Imaging
Sciences International, the global leader in advanced dental
and maxillofacial radiography products, today announced a
partnership to offer a limited-time, 60-day, free trial of
the popular Dolphin Imaging software with the purchase of
an i-CAT®, the leader in Cone Beam 3-D Dental Imaging.
All new and existing i-CAT customers are eligible to receive
this special package of Dolphin software modules: 3D, Ceph
Tracing, ImagingPlus™ and AnywhereDolphin.com. This
package is retail priced at over $14,000.
Complementing i-CAT technology with Dolphin software creates
a complete diagnostic solution for the dental practitioner.
i-CAT three-dimensional images are loaded into Dolphin for
accurate analysis and presentation of craniofacial anatomy.
Volumetric case presentation and treatment analysis can then
be performed using the Dolphin software. During the trial
period, customers are encouraged to try all functions of the
software and access Dolphin’s 24/7 customer support.
Customers wishing to continue to use the software after the
trial period will receive special pricing for the package.
“Combining i-CAT and Dolphin - two of the industry-leading
3-D technologies - presents a unique opportunity for dental
professionals to implement three-dimensional imaging, planning
and treatment into their practice at one time,” says
Ed Marandola, President and CEO of Imaging Sciences International.
“We’re excited to partner with a fine organization
like Dolphin to bring ease of use and quality 3-D application
software to our customers.”
The 60-day free trial offer includes the following Dolphin
modules:
• 3D is the central component of the Dolphin
package designed for i-CAT users. Dolphin’s simple interface
allows dental professionals to quickly process i-CAT volume
data: tissue segmentation, nerve mapping, accurate simulated
radiographic projection, multi-color volumetric rendering
and 3-D animation. Also, the built-in compression feature
reduces 3-D file size to only about 5MB for efficient storage
and sharing over the Internet, while still fully retaining
diagnostic quality.
• Ceph Tracing allows for accurate cephalometric
tracing and analysis against standardized norms and the creation
of progress superimpositions from the i-CAT 3-D scan data.
• ImagingPlus™ is a complete digital media
management module that lets the practitioner capture, archive,
present and print patient image records, both in 2-D and 3-D.
• AnywhereDolphin.com offers the ability to share
records online with patients and referrals over an encrypted
connection. Shared data can include 3-D images, movie files,
X-rays, treatment simulations, and request forms and notes.“With
this unique configuration, i-CAT users can experience first-hand
how Dolphin Imaging transforms complex volumetric scans to
manageable data with a single, easy-to-use application,”
says Chester Wang, Director of Dolphin Imaging and Management
Solutions. “Marrying Dolphin with the clinically proven
imaging powers of i-CAT offers a smooth transition into 3-D
dentistry.”
The Imaging Sciences’ i-CAT is the leader in Cone Beam
3-D Imaging providing the most comprehensive three-dimensional
views of all oral and maxillofacial structures at reduced
cost to the doctor and less radiation to the patient. Imaging
Sciences recently introduced the Next Generation i-CAT®
with a new ergonomic design, groundbreaking performance advancements
and a wealth of new and improved features. The latest i-CAT
model boasts faster scan times (8.5 seconds), quicker reconstruction
(within 30 seconds), larger Field of View (17cm height ×
23cm diameter), and smaller file sizes (less than 50 MB).
